How to Use

How To Use
It’s best to use the razor after you’ve showered or applied a hot towel to your face/area that you want to shave before to soften skin.

The first thing you need to do, is soak your shaving brush in warm water for 30 seconds.

Soften the shaving soap by putting a little warm water onto it.

Squeeze the excess water out of your shaving brush. If you have too much water in the brush, it’ll make for thin, frothy, lather. Not enough water and it will be hard to develop lather at all.

Load the brush, you do this by gently swirling the brush around on the surface of the soap for a minute or two — until you notice a good creamy lather start to form. You alternate the swirl direction (between clockwise and counter-clockwise) every few moments to help work the lather into the brush’s bristles.

Paint the area you want to shave with the lather using the shaving brush. You can use back-and-forth strokes, up-and-down strokes, swirly strokes, or a combination.

Shaving

Safety razors can take some getting used to and there is a technique to it, this can take time but you’ll get it soon enough. All you need to do while you are getting used to it choose when to shave carefully, as in don’t try this the morning of a job interview or in a hurry.

So pull the skin taut in the opposite direction of the blade, and hold the razor at about thirty degree angle. Remember not to apply any pressure, and use short, even strokes, going with the grain of your hair.

Replacing the Blades

You’ll know it’s time to toss a blade when it starts to tug or pull on the first couples of strokes. But remember you can use both side of the razor. Depending on your beard/hair thickness, that could be every other day or once a week.

To change the blades hold the razor head with one hand and then twist handle counter clockwise.

Remove the bottom plate from the razor head and then drop the blade on top of the pegs.

Then place the bottom plate back over the blade, hold the top and bottom of the head together, insert handle back into the head and then twist clockwise.
